Our Half-Day Kayak Experiences

Each guided tour focuses on the accessible, protected waters where you'll build confidence while taking in genuine coastal beauty.

Sheltered Bay Exploration

We don't start you in rough water. Our guides pick calm bays where you'll develop proper paddling technique and get comfortable on the water.

Small Group Setting

Maximum 6 paddlers per guide. You're not lost in a crowd. We watch your progress, adjust pace, and make sure everyone's actually enjoying it.

Perfect Timing

Four hours is enough to learn fundamentals, paddle 3-4 kilometers, and feel genuinely accomplished. Not rushed. Not exhausting.

Safety First

We cover bracing, rescues, and navigation. Every paddler wears a fitted PFD. We check weather, tides, and water conditions before every tour.

How We Started

We founded thalgrove Ltd because we were frustrated watching kayak outfitters treat everyone the same way. Tour groups of 15 people, guides who barely remember your name, rushing through experiences that should be memorable.

The Dingle Peninsula offers something special — protected bays, stunning geology, real wildlife. We wanted to create experiences where people actually got to know the place and develop genuine paddling skills. Not just a photo op.

How It Works

Your Half-Day Experience

We've designed our process to build confidence gradually while keeping things real and practical.

Briefing & Gear Fit

You'll meet your guide 30 minutes early. We explain what to expect, check your PFD fit, and answer any concerns. No surprises on the water.

Paddling Basics

First 30 minutes are in shallow water. You'll learn proper grip, paddle angle, and how your body drives the kayak. This foundation matters.

Guided Exploration

We paddle the bay together, moving at your pace. Your guide points out rock formations, wildlife, history. You're building real skills, not just moving through water.

Reflection & Next Steps

Back on shore, we talk about what you learned and what comes next if you're interested. Many people want to come back or progress to longer tours.
